Paysages humains (2001)

multimedia performance

Created in a workshop with Faim de Siècle, a multicultural and pluridisciplinary theatre group based in New York and Paris that regularly unites teams of international artists around specific projects, Paysages humains was a multimedia performance first presented at Mains d’Œuvres, Saint-Ouen in 2001.

Borrowing the title of a literary work by Nâzim Hikmet, the piece generated an interaction between forms of visual arts, hiphop dance and performance art, the whole informed by a use of new technologies and a deconstruction of texts and of the stage space.
